Roles & Responsibilities:

Develop scalable and efficient data architectures using on-premises technologies such as Hadoop, Impala, Hive, and Spark.
Evaluate and propose new technologies and strategies to enhance software system performance, scalability, and reliability.
Construct a data pipeline and compute tier operating on Hadoop and Impala/Spark.
Conduct code reviews and provide guidance to the team, emphasizing code quality improvement.
Lead large-scale projects from concept to release.
Offer strategic leadership in engineering processes, specific applications, systems, and software development methodologies.
Act as a technical resource for team members and mentor junior engineers.
Collaborate with partner teams across Mastercard, including Software Delivery, Corporate Security, Privacy and Data Protection, and Global Product Management, to deliver high-quality solutions meeting business needs.
Ensure that code is well-designed, maintainable, and complies with best practices and standards.
Contribute significantly to the evolution of engineering practices within a scrum-sized team empowered to self-organize.
